The listed price includes 1 day. Extra days are $10 each. Fill it at your own pace and call when you are ready for pickup.
What happens when the job runs long
Call us before pickup and we add the days.
This is worth saying plainly because it is the single most common worry people have, and because it happens constantly. Contractor schedules slip. A weekend gets rained out. The garage turns out to be worse than it looked. None of that is unusual, and none of it should turn into a charge you did not see coming.
We tell you the number on the phone, not on an invoice afterwards.
How much weight is included
Each size includes a set tonnage in the listed price: the 14-yard includes 1 ton, the 20-yard includes 2 tons, and the 30-yard includes 3 tons. Extra weight is $85 per ton.
Planning the delivery date
The most common way people waste rental days is having the container delivered too early.
It is tempting to get it on site the moment the project is confirmed, so it is definitely there. But a dumpster sitting empty in your driveway for four days while you wait on a contractor is four days of it occupying your driveway and doing nothing.
A few things worth thinking about:
Have it arrive the day the debris starts. Not the day the project starts. Those are often different days. Demolition rarely begins at 8am on day one.
Front-load the heavy work if you can. Most people fill a container in bursts rather than evenly. If the bulk of the loading happens in the first few days, fewer rental days works fine.
Build in a buffer for anything weather-dependent. Roofing, fencing, and yard work all stall in bad weather.
Coordinate with your contractor, not around them. If a crew is generating the debris, ask them when they actually want it there. They have done this before.
Can you swap a full container for an empty one?
Yes. If you fill it before the project is finished, call and we will pick up the full one and bring another. That is a normal part of larger jobs, and it is usually the right answer when a whole-house cleanout or a big demolition turns out to be more than one load.
It is worth flagging at booking if you think it is likely, so we can plan the schedule rather than fit you in.
A container that sits too long is a sign
If you find the dumpster has been in your driveway for two weeks and it is still half empty, the tool may be wrong for the job.
A roll-off makes sense when debris accumulates over days, when you want to work at your own pace, or when you are producing a large volume of one material. It stops making sense when the pile already exists and is just waiting for somebody to lift it, or when the heavy awkward items are the actual reason nothing is moving.
In that case our crew loading it in a single visit is faster and easier, and there is nothing left in your driveway afterward. Compare the two if that sounds like your situation.
One constraint outside our control
If you are in an association-managed community, your HOA may cap how long a container can sit regardless of what we agree. That limit is theirs, not ours, and we cannot look it up for you. Check your CC&Rs before booking if you are in one, because that is a genuinely common source of trouble in the newer neighborhoods around here. We deliver roll-off dumpsters to Turlock and Manteca too.
