Frequently Asked Questions

How much does fence removal cost?

Fence removal is priced based on volume and scope. The length and height of the fence, plus the material type and how difficult the posts are to remove. Wood fences are generally less expensive than metal or composite panels. Ground-level concrete footings add to the scope if they need to be dug out. A typical residential fence (4-6 feet tall, 30-50 feet long with standard posts) costs in a mid-range tier. Call or text with fence details, and we'll provide a same-day estimate. If you'd like us to come out for an exact assessment, that free on-site estimate is yours, no obligation.

Can you remove fence same-day or next-day?

Yes, typically. Smaller to medium residential fences usually fit into next-day scheduling. We have same-day and next-day openings available on weekdays and weekends. Weekday appointments typically run in our five two-hour windows: 7am-9am, 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, and 3pm-5pm. Weekend slots are available too. The smaller your fence, the better your same-day odds. Larger jobs or longer fences might need a day or two out. Contact us with your timeline and fence details, and we'll let you know exactly what we can fit and confirm availability. Our goal is to get your fence cleared as soon as you need it.

Do you remove concrete footings and posts?

Absolutely. Post and footing removal is included in the job. When we tear down the fence, we also pull out all posts and dig out concrete or similar footings below ground level. Posts don't just come out of the ground easily, they're set deep and often in concrete. Our crew has the right tools to extract them efficiently. All that material, fence sections, posts, concrete, wire, nails, hardware, loads into the truck for disposal. You get one complete job with nothing left behind. Your lot ends up clean and level, ready for landscaping or new construction.

What happens to the wood and materials?

We handle all debris responsibly and you won't make a single trip to the dump. All fencing material, wood, metal, vinyl, composite panels, gets loaded and hauled away. Wood scraps and posts go to recycling or processing facilities when possible. Metal components are separated for recycling where facilities accept them. Concrete footings are disposed of at facilities that take them. Hardware, nails, and wire are salvaged when valuable. We've got the truck, the crew, and the disposal connections, so you don't have to figure out where to haul everything or what facilities accept different materials. Cleanup is complete, and your property is ready for the next chapter.

Why choose Toss Out for fence removal?

Fence removal is serious physical work, digging deep for posts, hauling heavy materials, managing debris, and most homeowners prefer not to DIY it. Our crew does this regularly and has the right equipment: saws for safe cutting, tools for extracting posts, and a truck to haul everything in one trip. We work efficiently from experience. You get a same-day pricing quote so you know the cost upfront. Next-day scheduling in most cases means your property clears fast without becoming a week-long project. That's why homeowners trust us instead of renting tools and handling it themselves.

How long does fence removal take?

It depends on fence length, height, and material type. During your free on-site quote, we provide a detailed time estimate based on scope and access. For smaller fences under 30 feet, the job often wraps in a single half-day appointment. Larger residential fences or ones with concrete footings get detailed scheduling during the assessment. We provide realistic timeframes so you know exactly how long to expect the crew on your property.
